Loss of appetite

is it normal to have a loss of appetite and experience nausea with herpes? If so what should I do to recuperate?

    If you've recently been diagnosed the loss of appetite is probably a subconscious reaction due to some depression and/or mixed emotions. That is definitely normal. I'm quite sure that happened to me. Nausea too. An outbreak can produce flu like symptoms but supression will help that immensely. Are you on supressive therapy?

      That's when the Dr puts you on daily meds like Valtrex or Acyclovir or the generic of the two.

    I found I had H this week, and my appetite has definitely decreased. Annnnnnd... That says a lot because food is v v v important to me hahaha!

    It's probably the shock and upset of it all!

      I agree. If you're like me I'd lose my appetite and I did when I found out. But it gets better once the shock wares off. But this is a very common condition so don't let it get you down.
