Loss of appetite

Hi all

Does anyone else suffer from lack of appetite. I am ok at breakfast and lunch but by dinner time I find I am having to force my dinner down. But then at 5am my stomach is rumbling.

Is this down to menopause?

I recently had a short period of time with lack of appetite.

I had to force myself to eat pretty much every meal.

It lasted for about a week.

Then, just as it came with no warning, it went away and my appetite was back to normal.

It actually did make me nervous, because every one of these menopause symptoms makes me think there is something seriously wrong with me.

Hi Rona I’m just the same I have no appetite but manage a small breakfast and lunch but after that I’m not interested and I have to eat small and often as I have low blood sugar levels so force my main meal down and glad it’s over but don’t get hungry ever. Been like this for a couple of years now but must say iv never had a good appetite. Just keep eating something small and don’t over face yourself . X

Hi...yes I've felt that way a lot lately, and exactly the way nanc00951 describes. One moment nauseous and no appetite, the next I have my normal appetite back. ..with worry in between.

I've been feeling this for the last 4 years. Lost 20 Kg. I have to force myself to eat dinner.

Yes, I have to force breakfast and lunch down. By dinner I'm usually pretty hungry. I have started exercising and that seems to have increased my appetite a bit. I hope once I start strength training it will increase a bit more. But the upside of me not stuffing my face is I've lost a little weight.biggrin
