Lost and literally burning

Since finding out that I have herpes its been difficult to find a doctor. I thought I found someone and she does like I'm going to give her something. She has never checked my breakouts and I have this huge bump that leaks liquid from my labia. I'm already scared and depressed and my family just does like I don't exist but leaves Clorox wipes everywhere. Its been 3 weeks since I've known for sure but when does this all get better?

Go to a clinic if you can that can give you meds for hsv. Also try the over the counter cold sore cream. Keep the area clean and dry and wear loose clothing. If you touch the area, wash your hands just to prevent spreading it to any other part of your body. I'm sorry your family is acting like they are, it sounds like they really need to educate themselves about it and you definitely need a new doctor

I will definitely be looking for another doctor because if she doesn't feel comfortable with me then I won't feel relaxed. She is a nurse practioner and I think this is not her speciality field so she says away from checking private areas. I was thinking about lidocaine to numb the pain but I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not. As for my family they aren't interested because its not them and that is unfortunate for me. 😢

Lidocaine does help. I used aloe with lidocaine spray, helped a lot!

Definitely find a doctors to help you and that you feel comfortable with.

If you have insurance I can recommend an excellent OB/GYN-He's been my life saver and it really depends on each person how long the outbreaks last. Ignore your family's ignorant behavior...remember there's a difference between ignorant & stupid. Forget their childish behavior & concentrate on U. Aveeno bath soak 3-4 times 20 minutes each time & get rid of your stress- it only makes everything worse. If it makes U feel any better, my 1st outbreak was 5 months, got a 5 day completely clear BREAK & now I'm into my 4th week of the 2nd outbreak. I know everything I said is, easier to say than done. Good Luck.
