Lots of tests lots of doctors...no answer..

Pls bear with me...its long i know... i' thirty years old.no previous health issues.february i did a blood test cause of an prostatis infection that showed slightly elevated wbc (11.2) and some chlysterol.doctor said you have to lose weight but nothing wrong, i was  83 kg at the time...took some meds for the prostatis which turned out ok after a while.

the next month i did some hard diet, like only salmon and salad, yogurt, chicken, and in a month and a half i lost about 7 kgs. i started feeling generally unwell and very VERY anxious and stressed, like i felt something was wrong with my body.. i mean stressed like obsessed with my health.. did another blood count, all normal except white blood count more elevated (13.2) and calcium was 10.9, which the doctor said it must have been due to vitamin supplements. that was early april..

since then i have done a colonoscopy, the GI said that i had a slight inflammation but nothing significant,a gastroscopy, nothing significant.the GI took some random samples for biopsy all came back clear. two chest x rays (one in february and one mid april) nothing there too. i also did  an abdominal CT but all came back clear.. and a brain MRI,clear too.

in may i did another blood test all normal except again elevated white blood count (13.4) and calcium 10.49. did a pth test for the parathyroid which was 35. doctor told me to relax and do another blood test in 6 months...

i should say that i became so stressed all this time that i decided, after some advice  of my friends, to see phychotherapist.. he says that all of these are due to the stress... but i can't believe it..

i've been googling (terrible TERRIBLE mistake i know) everything that seem to match my symptoms..

to  conclude, right know i am 72-73 kgs, eating regurlaly (no diet). still feeling unwell...

i am worried that something is wrong but docs dont find it.i have in mind some deseases tha may cause my symptoms and blood tests but all docs say no...i ve been thinking lymphomas or something like that and pancoast lung cancer or a cancer in general... i really dont know anymore...

as of this week i have some pain in the right side of my neck and under my right clavical, but only if i press  it and its not swollen.

any ideas out there?

      Jessica,

you would need to convert kg into pounds to know what 72kgs is. It's a different measurment of weight. hope that helps.

Don't wory not everyone is familiar with this type of measurement. Not all Countries use it.

    Hi Chef,

Sometimes the anticipation of the unknown can be worse than the cause itself. (When we develope unusual symptoms without an explantion we tend to think the worst.) Your elevated cell count could be due to the inflammation so I would start there and see if they can address that issue first.

Good luck hopefully you get it all sorted out so you can begin to feel better.

Thx for the time to answer.. smile the thing is that these 4 months there is no apparent reason for my blood counts...that makes everything worse in my mind... doctor says that the other results are not suportive of any malignase..

You are welcome sorry I'm not much of a help. It's hard to not got any conclusions, I do understand. Blood work can be tricky although it doesn't seem like it should be. We were told for months that my son was iron deficient aneamic but now we were told that wasn't the case and we still do not have an explanation. This is why I'm saying try not to think the worst but don't give up either because there is an answer, it's just a matter of finding the right Dr. who will find it.
