Low Attenuating Lesion

Posted , 1 user is following.

I am a 48 year old male. I just had a CT scan done and they found a low attenuating lesion of 1.1cm in segment 3.

Is this typically something to be concerned about? I ask because my dad was 75 years old when he was diagnosed with liver cancer. I am happy to report he is now 83 and cancer free. However, given my age, how concerned should I be?

the technician notes indicate it is likely a benign cyst.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
