Low Blood sugar and hormones

If you google hormones low blood sugar you will see just how bad it is and how just a piece of candy will not raise it high enough or keep it there and it drops it every 1 to 3 hours in my case about every 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.  A few pieces of candy may raise it high enough for someone with out hormones droping it constantly.  Please for those that pray keep me in your prayers.

I have had low blood sugar during Peri too. I have a small meal of protein and Veges and feel much better. I find I don't need sugar. Eating 6 small meals per day every 2.5 to 3 hrs seems to be enough to keep my blood sugar stable. If I'm late eating my blood sugar can drop but as soon as I eat I feel ok.

I've been eating this way for about 12 years now so I've change and tweaked quite a bit over time. Quick rundown of what I eat each day.

      Morning after gym.

      6 eggs whites & 3 yolks

Half cup sugar fruit free toasted muesli from Aldi I eat it dry

Next 3 meals are roughly 120g chicken breast with carrot and celery, about lge handful of Veges.

I tend to eat what ever greens are cheap and what ever I feel like

Small protein bar with under 5grams carbs and at least 20grams protein.

Evening meal 150g lean red meat for me either mince or beef strips with carrots, celery, 1/4 cup sweet potato and tomato sauce.

I have 4 strong black coffee per day

The occasional diet coke or diet cordial & 3 litres of water.

Snacks are almonds, apple, diet jelly.

Its only been since Peri that I've had obvious low blood sugar. I struggled with my weight all my life until I started eating this way in my 30's.

Please feel free to ask me any questions.

      Cheers Rosemary
