Low bp ???

Hi! I've been having readings of 104/64 or 95/65 today. I always run low but those readings concern me. Is a dangerous reading? I'm taking 75 mg sertaline daily for anxiety and 12mg metoprolol daily for palpitations&fast hr. Do I need to go to er with those readings?

Those readings are on the low side but not too low.

90/60 or lower is considered low bp, or hypotension.

As long as you are not dizzy or having other symptoms.

Drink fluids to bring it up a little.

Thank you for reply! I was on Friday on the cardiologist office and he said you can slowly go on a lower dose of metoprolol from 12.5 to 6.25 . He said that's baby dosage so you should be fine. I'm confused now. I'm 27 years old.its true that younger women have lower bp?

Younger women don't necessarily have lower blood pressure.

For Teens , they can range for the top number 110-131/64-83 bottom number.

But some teens may run lower or higher.

As long as you feel ok and doesn't drop too much lower than 90/60, you are fine. Adding salt to your diet helps raise bp, as long as you can have salt. Not sure if you have any diet restrictions.

Having a slightly lower bp is always better than higher!!

You should be just fine!  😉

If concerned, talk to a doctor who is on call from your doctors office.

Hi, don't worry. I have always had similar readings unless I'm feeling anxious. My doc tells me it's fine so long as I don't feel regularly dizzy, which I don't. Maybe occasionally if I stand up fast but that's it. All my family are the same with lowing bp. Not in the danger level though so we're/you're fine!
