Low energy and ibs

Hi there, my name is Zeena and I am a 21 year old student. For the past year I have been experience a number of symptoms which I will give you some background information on. Last summer I went travelling in Thailand and one of the days I had a very violent vomiting bug, which left me feeling sick for a good few days. I do not eat meat but ate some salads over there and tried to avoid ice in drinks as much as possible but was still not 100%. When I came home from the holiday I started feeling like I had no energy at all. I wake up multiple times during the night and it is a real struggle to get out of bed in the morning. My body and muscles are weak and I feel quite faint a lot. This is greatly impacting on college and work. I have taken lots of supplements but none have worked. I get aches and pains in my body and my memory is quite clouded, I'm very forgetful. I get dizzy when I stand up sometimes. Lately the symptoms have developed into ibs and I cant seem to eat certain things. I get cravings for sugar and salty things and seem to be hungry all the time. I get abdominal pains and cramps. I feel sick and bloated after every meal and have diarrhoea at some point every day. I get really bad gas which makes me uncomfortable to be around my boyfriend. I feel worse everyday. I used to rock climb and go to the gym but now I'm not able to do that. I also never feel satisfied after meals and am hungry quite quick afterwards. These symptoms are really taking away from my daily life and making me feel very down. I am experiencing anxiety as well. My doctor is very unhelpful with this situation. I have done bloods which show that my b12 levels are normal but what are the chances I am not absorbing it properly? Is it possible that I could have a parasite which is taking my nutrients? I appreciate any help as I feel like I am not living my life to the fullest and I am only 21. I currently have asthma and am also on the birth control pill.

    Hi Zeena,

I've been having similar symptoms for the past couple of weeks which includes a strange sort of dull headache, muscle ache and trouble sleeping. Did several blood tests as well as started taking supplements. The supplements helped a bit. The blood tests were all clear with the exception of a low white platelet count. Have to visit the Dr again this week to try and figure out what's going on. I live in the tropics and my theory is that it must have been some form of virus maybe from a mosquito bite. Could be that you were bitten on your visit. However it's just a theory. Hope to get some answers soon and some measure of relief. Same for you as well. Pray that we overcome soon.

I suspect that u have intestinal pinworms?! Pinworm medicine is available over the counter! Follow directions on box repeat in 14 days.

Everyone who lives with you will have to be treated or it won't be effective! U will get it again!!

    Any house pets?

    Good luck

I believe you have pinworms in your upper digestive tract!

    You might want to try:

Reese's pinworm treatment (over the counter) follow the directions for dosage, mark your calendar, then 14 days (exactly) take a second dose.

Remember to check bed linen etc

For it to be effective everyone in the household will also have to take it or you can't be sure?!

You've got to stop the cycle!!

This also includes anyone you've had close contact with?!

    •• Do u have pets?•••

    Hope you feel much better!

Eat yogurt! No artificial sweeteners in any drinks, etc

    will👌
