Low ferritin

Think I've asked this before. I needed an iron infusion after my iliostomy was reversed due to very low ferritin. That was 18 months ago. i am getting same low ferritin symptoms again i think. I know part of colon absorbs nutrients but i didn't think sigmoid did, and part of mine has gone. The same as a lot of you. I am vegetarian too. Has this happened to anyone else. I am past menopause so no bleeding. Thanks for any welcome replies. Seeing surgeon tomoz. But i like gettinh your opinions.
