Low hearing

Hi. I already knew that my hearing was kind of bad as it's suspected that I have meniere's disease, but that has never been fully verified by a doctor. I do have most if not all of the symptoms and my father also has it. In my intro to psychology class we were going over hearing/the ears and the professor had some sounds for us to hear. I heard 10,000hz, and 14,000hz fine but when he got to 17,000hz I heard nothing. I ended up googling some more tones and its around 16,000hz that I cant really hear anything. I'm only 19 years old but I'm not sure what range is normal for my age or gender if that is a factor (female).

Have you actually been to your doctors to have a hearing test? Or if you have been refereed to have a CT scan done to check if your middle ear bones are in order?

No. The meniere's was mentioned at a check up but it wasn't a big concern at the time so we never went further with it.
