The same thing happened to my daughter after she had her baby. Her heart rate was around 50 and sometimes a little lower. Eventually it went higher but it took some time. yours will most likely also resolve. If you find that it stays that way you can always make an appointment with a cardiologist just for your peace of mind. Just explain to that doctor when you had the baby and how long this has been going on. you might even be able to get a 24 hour monitor to wear. That will give a better picture of how often your heart rate is going low. everything is going to be okay. if you feel uncomfortable then you have the right to get some answers as soon as you want to. remember, the doctors work for us! Take care

    Hi,

I'm a male but also have quite a low resting heart rate - it averages around 50. I don't know whether this may be as a result of medication (Sertraline) or some other reason ? It's weird, during exercise I sweat an awful lot but my heart rate is comparatively low.....

I guess we are all just different, I don't believe your heart rate is abnormally low but check with your doctor if it's causing you stress.
