Low liver enzymes. Depressed! Need responses!

I'm 57 and currently a mess, so please excuse if my post reflects that.  I have severe anxiety due to a blood test and Ct scan. The liver scan showed something that began with an "H".  I just scanned over it quickly as I didn't want to read/remember the word as I knew it would eat at me as it's doing now. My liver #'S were a 3.5 . Not sure if my gastroenterologist ever read my blood report but said my ctscan looked "pretty good".  Which gives me a little hope. (I was a former drinker...mainly beer for a few Years. Have quit cold turkey.  I posted to the group my amounts/story, but they didn't think it was enough to cause cirrhosis, but one said, "if I carried on that way for a few more years the outcome would be different"...I appreciated his candor)

Anyway, I had labs drawn for RA & Lupus and I saw a positive test for the lupus anticoagulant. Upon contacting the Drs. Office, the message that he gave the nurse was "its complicated" and that he would see me at next visit

(2 months time) to let me know. So I'm guessing if it were life threatening he would have had me in ASAP?

I posted a message last night asking for foods for the liver. I guess a cirrhosis diet? Please  post some healing foods and give me some advice.

I have never heard of a special diet for low liver enzymes. I think it's worse to have high liver enzymes then it is low. Liver enzymes become elevated for many reasons. If they show a pattern of being elevated this can signal trouble. There are other labs other then just AST and ALT that paint a bigger picture. I would suggest an ultrasound and a visit with a gastro or even better a heptaologist. It's been my experience that regular primary care Drs don't seem to have much knowledge when it comes to the liver.

There is no treatment for fatty liver and no cure for cirrhosis. Best thing you can do for your liver is eat right and excersise and that's true for either condition. The best diet for liver disease is one consisting of plenty of fresh veggies and fruits. Next to no added sugars and a diet not full of carbs. Stay away from alcohol.

    Livers like eggs smile

Honestly, I'm not sure if I would be terribly concerned with low enzymes but then again I'm not a Dr.

Was the word "hepatocelluar disease?" Maybe hepatitis?

Nothing you have said indicates liver damage. I do not think you need to be looking at your diet. The only thing mentioned is lupus anticoagulant. Which means your blood is more endanger of clotting. I would have thought that aspirin or similar would be prescribed to thin the blood in the first place. I'd stop focussing on your diet for the moment.
