Low pelvic pain

HI , for the past month I’ve had aches and sharp pains in my pelvis. Full pains on my right side then just aching in my whole pelvis area . I’ve noticed it hurts more as the day go’s on and more intense pain when I’m sitting. Sometimes it shoots down my legs and I feel flutters as if I’m pregnant, which I’m not . The pain also radiates into my lower back . Sometimes feel like I need to pee when I don’t . Or it feels like I need to go really bad when I don’t . I’ve had a pap , urine test for uti and a trans vaginal ultrasound and a normal ultrasound. I’m very scared to find out my results tomorrow , my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer two years ago . I’m 47 years old and it’s pretty scary to Not know what’s causing my pain .

Hi Karrie, it sounds like you might have pelvic floor dysfunction. I am not a doctor, but . I had very similar symptoms and this is what I go to PT for. Ask your doctor for a referral or look it up aand make your own appointment. Look for pelvic floor physical therapist. Best wishes! Debi

    Hi Karrie

I've been having very similar symptoms to you since the beginning of the year, in fact I could have written your post myself. Also had transvaginal and ultrasound which showed a tiny cyst but I doubt that this can be the cause. I'm better when lying down but unfortunately have a desk job. I have been off work sick for a month now and have developed anxiety because of the pain. It is also has changed my bowels habits. The pain for me is underneath and is worse when sitting. I'm seeing a gynaecologist next month but I have been reading about Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, a lot of our symptoms match this. Have you got any further since you posted? I'm getting desperate for answers. I'm 40 by the way and live in the UK. I'd be really interested to hear how you are doing now
