I get low pulse rate sometimes 48, 50, today its 56, some days its in the 60 and 70 range. , i guess its another menopause symptoms as my doctor thought it could be thyroid but all test back ok. They did an ECG but its ok. So i put it down to menopause. Maybe you should do some brisk walking and exercise to level your heart rate, thats what I am doing lately and my pulse rarely drop below 55 now.

    Hope this helps.

I don't think that is considered low.Do you do daily exercise? From what I have read people who are in good shape and fit, have a low heart rate which is good for cardiovascular. My average resting heart rate is 74, which is considered average, I do have stress and anxiety on and off, so mine can jump to the 80 and 90 range, if I am in a real stressful situation I can even be in the 120's and that is frightening, I would not get too worked up on that range unless you are experiencing concerning symptoms.

My heart rate goes up and down depending on my situation, if im resting it can go down to 50, if im active it goes up 88.

    hi chiqui

I've been a bit breathless over the last 3 weeks periods erratic had all different kinds of peri symptoms too many to mention!

this latest being breathlessness and resting heart rate of between 50 and 60

its comforting to know I'm not alone with this

as long as it's a normal part of perimenopause and hopefully will pass soon
