ok so after 3 testosterone tests each 2 weeks apart its been determined i have low T. my most recent results were total- 225 pg/nl ( range 240-950) and free T- 9.45 ng/dl. they checked my LH and FSH. LH- 1.5 mIu/ml and FSH- 1.7mIu/ml ( range 1.55-9.74)
based on these results they did an MRI on my pituitary which came back normal. the endo wanted me to wait 3 months and have it all retested but ive felt awful for a couple years and felt this was unacceptable so i called my urologist. they checked my prostate antigen and some RBC tests and started me on androgel. im now worried this isnt the best road to take. my wife and i want kids. its been 9 days on the medicine and i dont feel any different either. should i see a different endo or try a different medicine? ive also been going to the gym 4x a week for 5 weeks now as i am overweight.

After messing around with the gel, my husband moved to Reandron injections every 3 months. It made a huge difference to his well being, as did Vit B12 injections. Previously he was very fatigued, depressed, weak, memory disfunction, and ED, as well as growing man boobs.
While my husband is passed the stage of more parenthood, a word with your dr should allay your fears about future parenthood. I have not read that testosterone supplementation affects sperm, and that is the important part.
Also check out your Vit D - if low go for a practioners brand Vit D3 drops. These are most effective. I was not absorbing Vit D from any other source, and my husband was not absorbing Vit B12 and these are two very important vitamins which have a major effect on the body.
BTW, haemochromatosis is a hormone thief and causes reduced hormones. Both my husband and I have genetic haemochromatosis. An Iron Studies test is required first to check this possibility.
Good luck.
