Low testosterone result

Since this place for some bizarre reason does not have a sub forum to dedicated testosterone issues I thought it best to post here.

I was having some issues and I suspected my testosterone level was low. My GP would not give me a blood test, though so I got one privately . The result come back at 7.01 nmol/L, which is considered low (I'm 37). I'm having further blood test done soon.

My question is how low is this number considered? And what could be causing it? Thanks.

Normal level is 9 - 32. so 7 is low. There are so many reasons for low testosterone that you really need to wait for the other blood tests to be done and the results come back. They may give you and your doctor the clue to what is causing this.

Drinking a lot of alcohol can have a very detrimental effect on testosterone levels.
