Low Vitamin D that is reoccurring

hello,

just recently i have have got blood taken and my vitamin d is very low.it is 17.3 and normal Dante is 30-100. This seems to be a reoccurring thing even during summer months when I am outside a lot.

This is time my vitamin d is even lower than it was 6 months ago. Also my LDH is a little low too. It reads 117 and normal is like 119-140ish or something.

what could be causing my vitamin d to continue to be low even after taking 50,000 IU for a month or more.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

SometImes some other medications which you might be taking may increase the metabolism of vitamin D so that might be one reason...

Thank you for your response. I have function dyspepsia and so called ibs.... and I take lamictal and nortriptyline (which is new for functional dyspepsia) I would just like to get down to the underlying cause to prevent this

P.s. I forgot to add ..if you suffer from gastrointestinal disturbances then that too causes decreased absorption of vitamin D which you are taking to replenish the stores

There is a great spray vitamin d product called D-Lux - now available in chemists, not just online.
