Lower back pain and abnormal coccyx

Hi, I have been struggling with severe lower back pain on and off for years. It seems to affect me in periods sometimes just a week sometimes lasting months.

Sometimes it goes away for months and barley bothers me and then when it flares up I'm in agony.

I noticed a boney lump on my tailbone and wondered if that could be the cause of it all.

I have been to my doctors so many times and I just can't get an explanation for anything that's going on.

I have been told its a prominent tail bone, coccydynia and pain from my ibs. My ibs often seems to flare up at the same time so I think it could all be connected.

It's really taking a toll on my life, especially with me having a little boy who has just turned 3, when it's bad I struggle to do anything even when taking dihydrocodeine.

I have recently had an xray done of my coccyx, I think it looks like its very bent. I wondered what everyone else's opinions were.

I often get pain in my tailbone from the lump when sitting down for long periods, especially hard surfaces. However the pain is usually a couple of inches above where the lump is. I have circled the lump on the xray.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
