Lower back pain when lying down cannot sleep what should I do!

Hello, this would be my third post. At the moment I am experiencing this very dull lower back pain. And the interesting part is that I get this pain only when I'm lying down and doesn't get better when moving sides. So basically my sleep is always disturbed because of this. It started a week ago when I slept on a flat surface however, the pain started after 2 days of sleeping on the flat surface. I am too anxious that could it be something serious? I get too anxious when it comes to my health. I used to get pins and needles in my left arm and leg but that was a month ago not sure if it is related. The only thing worries me is that why did it start all of a sudden. I am too scared of any major thing such as cancer or something ๐ฆ and the worst part is the present situation doctors are hardly reachable due to the ongoing situation. Any advice would be appreciated thank you.
P.S - I am 22 years old

Try putting a pillow or rolled up blanket under your knees. Or put a pillow between your knees when lying on your side. And don't lay on your belly this puts to much pressure on your lower back.

Hi Q, It sounds like you may have tweaked/pulled or strained your lower back...try using heat, massage, light stretching and rest(however don't stay bed bound) no heavy lifting, try what Amkoffee suggested, see if its okay from your Dr to try OTC ibupofen(Advil) OR naproxen(Aleve)..AND use a topical like Voltaren Emulgel(diclofenac) or Aspercreme, esp at night, if you use other meds or have other health conditions you need to be sure its okay to use these things, anti-inflammatories can be hard on the stomach so use with food...a hot bath/shower/heating pad before bed, use meds while using heat; it increases blood flow to area bringing more relief, you can also use a small cushion for the small of your back, WITH the roll under knees & put a pillow behind your back with the one between your knees, while laying on your side!! If after a week these things haven't helped, you may want to see your DR, you may need Physio or at least a consult...lower back pain is one of the most common complaints, so don't worry about it being something major....if you have a fever, neck pain or have had a recent injury to your back & have numbness down your legs or severe pins and needles, it requires being seen...it may just take some time!!! hello q18405
I completely sympathise with you regarding your back problem. This happens to thousands of people world wide, I would take the advice of sgt.lindal regarding his method of trying to self heal yourself. I have been down this road for the past 50 years and still suffer today . See your Dr when possible to ask for anti self
lnflamatory tablets like the Sgt has mentioned sometime it can take a little longer for it to heal itself good luck and try and rest where possible.
kind regards JohnAk
