Hello, You have the opposite to me. I have just had my candesartan cut by a qarter to 12mgs together with 2.5 mgs of bendro fluemathazide and my BP has dropped dramatically to round about 115/ 55 pulse around 65. Unfortunately I get so tired so quicklyand feel so faint and nauseous the whole time. In fairness I was like that before, which was why my BP medication was cut in case it had lowered it too much!

My chemist asked me ages ago whether I had any side effects from the bendro, but I hadn't then. Is this is what is making my life a misery I wonder? Any thoughts gratefully received

I'm quite sure it is the  bendro fluemathazide. I was lacking in drive when taking it. It felt like I had a loss of power. My doctor said that it does have that effect.

Hello Derek,  Thanks so much, I was starting to think I was going to have a breakdown and your post gave me hope that I am not going in that direction. Wonder why it was ok for the first six months? Must have a cumulative effect I suppose, but either way it is making it difficult for me to look after my husband as I feel permanently poised for action. Almost as though a switch is permanently on . I will have a look and see what I can find, but what is the solution?

Why not have a word with your helpfull chemist and then see your GP.

There are many other diuretics around. I can't get on with any as they give me pelvic pain and almost stop my urine output.

There are three types of diuretic so another may suit you better.

Someone here the other day had good results from Spironolactone

      but what works for one....................

Thank you I will, can't go on feeling like this, but so relieved it is probably that and not my mind!

Hello Derek, I took your advice and am now off the bendro. am seeing the GP again after having a blood test, but though she said it could be the bendro it could also be stress caused by looking after 93 year old dementia husband. Thank you. Feeling much better today.

Have to say I feel like I have more energy but for me think it is because I started exercising more and cooking from scratch more so eating better. Have also lost weight and that has helped me. smile

Hi I have found that when my blood pressure it high I tend to be tired and suffer from headache. The opposite is that when it's normal I feel light and more energetic. I want to believe that it is normal since there's less strain of the heart.
