LP in remission

Well my oral and vulvar LP is now in remission. The doctor attributes this to methotrexate, but I was also using clobetasol cream and colifoam (vaginally) . I also took vitamin D supplements and began looking for a new job.  I also stopped eating nightshade foods - tomato, potato , capsicum, chili and eggplant. Mostly becuse they irritated my gut terribly, but they are aggrevators to inflamation so I avoided them anyway. I also cut down on onion and garlic, same reason. Maybe none of this acutally did anything, but I sure feel better!

Leanne, That's wonderful! I'm so happy for you. Its so nice to hear a positive and uplifting story like yours. It helps the rest of us know that there is hope. How long did you deal with your LP before going into remission?

    God Bless You,

three years, approximatly, there was a good year where it was gnawing at me and the doc was insisting it was thrush. I was diagnosed by the dentist and finally saw a specialist. then two years since the first official diagnosis to this point.

My doctors said mine was thrush at first until I had my lip biopsy that confirmed LP. Congrats again!!
