LPR - Need help getting through this

hi everyone,

I would really really appreciate any advice or response from people who have had or currently have LPR.

I am a 30 year old male in pretty good shape. I do have celiac disease, but follow a strict gluten free diet. I was recently (2 weeks ago) diagnosed with LPR (silent reflux). The reason i was diagnosed in the first place is because I have been to about 10 doctors in the last 2 months, trying to figure out why i have my symptoms. My main symptoms are shortness of breath, throat clearing/mucus build up, stuffy nose, occasional fatigue and dizziness, and frequent burping. I rarely (very rare) get heartburn.

This all started after i choked on some meatloaf about 9 weeks ago. It got really far down my airway and I coughed violently (like full body violent) for about 20 minutes. Luckily, I was okay afterward. After this episode, I had noticeable shortness of breath (felt like my airway was so swollen). I then had some anxiety issues which led to multiple appointments with cardiologists, pulmonary specialists, etc to rule out anything serious causing shortness of breath. Its been pretty miserable for me these last 9 weeks. I went tk see an ENT 2 weeks ago and he said i have a swollen and red vocal flap area, most likely due to LPR. Ive been taking nexium and following a very bland diet for 2 weeks, but i just want to know does this ever get better? And how long/what did you need to do to get better. I will do literally anything. I feel like Im always worried about the shortness of breath and Im missing out on so many great memories of our 6 month old (our first).

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond.
