LS

Hi everyone,

this has been an very helpful site!

I started about 5 years ago with the LS.

I found out that I had an auto immune issue.

Then they found out my Thyroid so out of wack.

I think my Thyroid might have played a part in this.

I was one of the few where the LS also appears on my back, stomach and arms!

Thank God that has pretty much cleared up.

Anyway thanks again!

    Hi Janna,

I agree with you about the thyroid. That is the first thing my specialist asked me, if I had my thyroid checked. I had and am on thyroid medication. She said they feel there is a correlation to low thyroid, low estrogen (which I also have as I am post menopausal) and LS.

      I had a complete hysterectomy at 45.

Took hormones for  4 years made me feel horrible. So I am sure this LS started way back.

I have a thyroid issue as well.  Mine started as an over active one, made under active by RAI.  (not a good idea)  Had an artificial early menopause.  Who knows?  LS was there probably longer than the final diagnoses.

My thyroid is good. I have Diabetes 2 and wondered if anyone was on metformin? I had such stomach issues and was going to the bathroom all the time. This is when I noticed my bottom was hurting not knowing it was the start of LS. I've been using the streroid cream morning and night for 6 weeks and still no relief ! I bought emu oil and use that all the time. The itch is driving me crazy . I have not been abl to have sex for 6 months. It is so hard on me! . I wish they had better answers for me. I'm thinking of going to homeopath to see if they could strengthen my auto immune system !

Have you tried sitting in a baking soda bath (1/3 cup)?  It helped me a lot and was healing.  I also rinsed with warm water in which a small amount of baking soda after each bathroom visit.  Deb dry and apply a small amount of coconut oil or emu oil.
