Hi Elaine, Sorry you are having a horrid flareup for so long. Did your doctor not recommend something for relief. I have had UTIs but don't think it was elated to LS but that is not to say it isn't possible.

Have you tried a sitz bath with a little baking soda for relief? Has your doc recommended Clobestol or some other cortizone cream for itch relief? If not, try Emuaid or Aloe Vera for cooling relief. I used to put a cold wash cloth between my legs. Let us know how you are. Take care.

HI Elaine, Nancy here in the U.S. yes - I've had a UTI since getting LS. They are indirectly related in that taking care to wipe carefully with such sensitive skin, no matter how hard we try, can mix our bodily fluids back to front by accident.

My integrative doc said that I simply need to keep on taking some anti-bacteria things like grapefruit seed Extract (3X a day), or colloidal silver, apple cider vinegar in water every morning (for the rest of our lives is what one suggestion is).

Besides the wiping issue i also realized that I need to be super careful to use a different finger to apply moisturizer etc front and back. Things quieted right down after that... (well that and being able to afford to get my whole nutritional protocol again - I can't recommend enough how building up our immune systems is so helpful.
