LS flare ups and pregnancy

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hello,

I was diagnosed with LS two years ago. My husband and I found out we are pregnant (after a miscarage last January) on Monday. I have been having a terrible flare up of the LS and I am very concerned about using the steroid cream. Does anyone know of any safe and effective treatments that can be used in pregnancy?

I would love to hear any and all advice!

Thank you so much!

    Hi Kate,

I would suggest that you look at the discussion on borax.  Has helped many to keep LS reasonably under control.

And also to look at your diet - added sugar is often a trigger as well.  For me it is also cheese.  So altogether I avoid added sugar, gluten, alcohol, caffeine and most dairy.  And also try to control the stress, which seems to be the hardest one.

I suggest you discuss this with your doctor before trying any other treatments.  Call the office and talk to the nurse if you can't ft an appt.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and good luck!
