LS itchy relief

Evening everyone 😃
I was diagnosed with LS about 10 weeks ago by a doctor and it was confirmed by a specialist 2 weeks ago, who gave me all my prescription creams, gel and wash lotion.
My itching has finally stopped but not the soreness. I have totally cut out all yeast and yes it’s been a bit of a nightmare. You literally have to check all your shop brought products. Not only is it in bread, it’s in most alcohol, flat bread, crumpets, cheese crackers bottle sauce like ketchup, mayonnaise and stock cubes!!! Don’t trust anything that looks healthy till you have read the ingredients.
Also I have cut down on sugar, I have a little treat now and again. Every morning a good quality probiotics with aloe Vera juice 🥤
I hope this is useful and it’s worth a try for 8 weeks 😃

Thank you Sybel, I’m in the UK so I get my 100% cotton knickers from M&S, I think most women here in the uk do, we were brought up on them since we were children 😂

Hi there, what makes you think that yeast is the main cause of your symptoms? I'm curious to hear as I have never heard of that one.
Sugar, Gluten, and dairy are often the main culprits for most women. If you cut out sugar from your diet that will go a long way to relieving your symptoms of constant itching. For some women though going gluten free helps as well.

Hi Guppy
I had read somewhere that if you crave sugar and bread, that it could be a yeast infection in the gut (Candida). I don’t know if I did have a yeast infection but I was addicted to sugar. Yeast loves sugar, which makes you crave it. So with all the bad press about sugar I thought I’d give it a try for health reasons as I’m over weight. I also invested in probiotics to help my friendly bacteria, and just did more research on the internet.
My LS symptoms included the dreadful itch but also one side of my labia was very swollen. Over 8 weeks the itching gradually reduced to not having it at and that’s when I realised the swelling had disappeared. I am still very sore but is more bearable without the itch. I’ve only been on clob for a few weeks so fingers crossed the symptoms will reduce over the next few months. I live in the UK and getting great support (I’ve done a post about it titled LS West Midlands UK)
thank you for your message 😃
