Hi I have had LS for a year now, it has spread to my anus which is so painful. Dermovate is making it worse and burns so badly. Has anyone experienced this ?

Yes i have.    Before i knew what it was i used nappy rash cream but it didnt really help, then i tried thrush cream, then after diangnosis i used the steroid  ointment, but it was misery all the time.

Just over a month ago i started using bicarbonate of soda to bathe in...  Just mix a teaspoon of bicarb in a n eggcup of water, dip a cotton wool pad in it and dab it on.....  Instant relief from itching and burning.

i have now moved on to borax. ( there is a thread about this. Called an experiment with borax)...  And i feel normal, with no itchiness or soreness.

its brilliant for me... I had forgotton how  normal felt......

    worth a try?

    xx

Thank you for your reply, without sending a photo which I'm sure u do not want to see lol ! My doctor said it was the worse she had ever seen, I have tiny blisters and am red raw, so scared to use anything even water stings like crazy. Been given anaesthetic cream to use half hour before the dermovate X

Hi....I have been using Emuaid, an ointment I ordered on line.  Australia uses this product for first aid and it really works for me.  It prevents adhesions and helps sooth the burning/itchy feeling you can get when LS flares up.  Don't forget to get a visual of what you are dealing with down there.  I get to feeling good and don't look for a while then I will all of the sudden have a flare up and it's gets out of hand again.  Do a daily check with a mirror and apply the Emuaid when redness appears.

      Hi Janice67377,

Thank you for your advice, I have heard of Emuaid before, the dermovate stings like crazy and makes me feel physically sick . Doc said it is one of the worst cases they have seen, I have not known soreness like it x

Ladies, the itching, burning, stinging and pain that I experienced and that the Clobetasol could not control or stop has been completely taken away by Borax baths and the Borax solution! Please read "an experiment with Borax" on this site! There is SO much good information there and many success testimonials to encourage us! Some of the woman also use baking soda and also have very good results. I became an intstant believer as my symptoms abated and did not return!

    Hope this helps, God bless

Yes the pain certainly is!!! and I also had my children w/o any medication. Borax changes the constitution of the water, so when you are ready to experiment, give it a try. God bless and guide you!

1/3 of a cup and I soak for approximately 20minutes. Sometimes I use a Sitz bath and then I use slightly less than 1/6 cup. Please read"An experiment with Borax" on this site! Excellent information, testimonials and encouragement!
