LTHR tomorrow.

Going in at 6:30 tomorrow morning for my second THR. My right hip was done 5 months ago. I am so ready to get this done, it's been going down hill for a while now. I'll be in the hospital for 5 days and I'm not looking forward to that again. Can't wait to start my recovery.

There once was a hipster named Chris

    - couldn't wait to get a new set of hips.

The surgeon was sterling, patient and wise

    - so the hips were the best, a most perfect size.

No bending, no lift - no BL or bloody T!

So you'll turn out the best, even better than me!

Wishing you a safe and successful surgery and the best recovery.

It's Sunday evening and I get released from the hospital tomorrow. Things went very well. I had a fever the night after surgery so they took me down for chest x rays to see about pneumonia but everything was fine. No more fever today. I forgot how much the first days hurt but the worst of it is behind me. The physical therapist has been working with me twice a day. I had the posterior approach so the recovery will be a bit longer. I got 47 staples last time but I won't see this surgical wound until tomorrow. I just cant wait to get home. Thanks for all your well wishes.

    hi chris ,

I was told that i should not compare the 2 surgeries - and they were right - it is different but one thing was the same : PAIN IS GONE ...

you have 2 new hips  , just had major surgery again and your body will need time to heal - to learn how to walk again, stay balanced - little things that take lot of effort -

I know you will do well -

congratulations and come back here anytime okay -

    big warm hug
