Lumbar decompression surgery

I had Lumbar decompression surgery nearly 4 weeks ago and still have numb/tingly feelings in both feet and part way up my right leg just as before the operation, is this normal and how long before they disappear?

Thanks

No replies!?  Am I the only one who has had this problem.

I had that operation about 6 years ago and for about 3 weeks I couldn't put my foot down on the floor and walk normally. My Surgeon said it would gradually get better and it did but more like 2 months. Have you asked someone about them? It might be worth doing that although it could be circulation or even a trapped nerve. Keep your chin up and I am sorry you haven't had any replies. I only come on here every week but with Christmas it is probably at least 2. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated, I can put my foot  down and walk 1/2 mile or so, just as I could before the OP, but to be honest it seems as if nothing has changed pain etc is just the same as before, perhaps I need to be patient and wait a few months and see how things are.
