Lumbar fusion

hi all wondering if u can help at all.... I had lumbar surgery L1 -L3 in march this year 2015 and now thinking of extending our family.... But not sure wot the outcome of this will b pain wise n if my surgeon would agree wots your thoughts please

    Hello,

    I know my husband has had 2 previous surgerys over the last 4 or 5 years - I will find out in detail what ones they were & get back to you ...

    Hi wenglishchick,

    I had a fusion done S1 to L5 and my doctor said it would be fine, as long as I could carry and than it would be bed rest and most likely a c section, I'm pretty sure if your not on any high doses of narcotics too, so its up to and your body. Good luck , and keep up posted if and when the Dr gives u the green light.

    I would really discuss this with your surgeon. Don't forget that when you are carrying a child, it puts extra strain on your back.. I would wait one year after surgery. That's my opinion.. Best of luck!
