Lumbar Pain for 6 Years, Swelling but no answers

Almost immediately after having my oldest son, I had lower back pain. Like, the type of pain where it was almost impossible for me to bend over and get him out of the crib. This pain has persisted for the last six years with no relief. There is swelling there, but nothing shows up on an ultrasound. The pain is very centralized to this strip across my back. I have no numbness, tingling, or traveling of the pain. If I stand up for any period of time, I have to bend my lower back and pop it. I sound like a glowstick! I am seriously at my wits end with it. I'm waking up in pain now and I have to put my hands on my back just to stand back upright. I'm only 28 and have two young kids. I don't have a clue what this could be and my doctor is stumped as well.

I'm hoping since the ultrasound showed nothing, insurance will approve the CT my doctor originally wanted to do. I've been denied once since I didn't show signs of nerve damage. Anyone have any ideas? I've looked into things like degenerative disk disease, or pain from an epidural, but none of those fit. The fact that it's lasted this long and there's this swelling invovled makes it complicated.
