hi i dont no if this is the right section to be posting this on but my 9 year old daughter has found a lump im guessing its her breast tissue growing but im not 100% positive as tbh i cant remember what it was like when mine were growing or even when my 12 year olds started growing. my 9 year old has only just noticed it due to it hurting her this morning it is right under her nipple it isnt solid but her nipple does look swollen and she said it sore/tender to touch, i did google it and it said this was signs of her breasts developing and that she should wear a bra to support growth so she has put on one of her sisters old bra's as she wasnt in them for long so i kept them for my 9 year old she has said the pain has settled abit since putting the bra on . she hasnt seen a doctor as she cant deal with people talking about her or strangers touching her even with her bowel problems it has to be sorted out without her knowing whats being said, i have lit her school know this morning and they are going be checking up on her during the day just to ask her if she is in any pain ,while im at the doctors later i will ask what they think but what im asking i guess is what does other people think. could this be her breasts starting to grow ? anything else i should be looking out for as well.

I am sure this is probably the underlying breast tissue starting to be influenced by hormones but she is still quite young and you do need a doctors advice. Keep an eye on her without being obvious about it . If she is developing in a lopsided manner....ie one breast much bigger than the other then your doctor needs to be consulted, but I am guessing this will sort itself out quite soon.
