Lump above knee

I'm a 22 year old female and I've recently noticed this lump above my knee on my left leg. Its under my skin. It's not noticeable by eye but you can feel it when it's touched. Also, there's a small round ball that I can feel that moves around when I touch it. I have no idea what it can possibly be? Any suggestions?

Are the lump and ball the same thing or are you saying it's 2 separate problems? If it's soft and moveable it sounds like a cyst in which case it may well disperse on its own. How long have you had it? If you're worried see your GP. It sounds unlikely to be anything serious, but better to have it looked at if ii bothers you.

Thanks for your feedback! & It's two separate things but its within the same location. I've had it for about a month now. I'm just a little worried. it doesn't hurt but yes I can move it around.

If you've had it a month and are even a little bit worried, have it checked. It's likely to be nothing to worry about, most lumps are benign, but we can't know that without examining it and I'm no medic anyway, just someone who's had lots of lumps and bumps along the way. If it is something that needs attention it's not going to go away and far better to deal with it now than leave it. Make an appointment, don't put it off. You'll only worry more.

Better to ask a professional....go see your doctor.
