Lump and sore throat

Hi,

I'm going to the doctors on Friday about this but feeling very anxious.

I had my tonsils removed years ago. A few months ago I noticed a lump on the one side had formed, but it didn't worry me for some reason. It hasn't changed in size since I noticed it.

Recently I had a terrible cold, and since then my throat has been getting extremely sore but it doesn't last all day... It usually starts in the afternoon, and it feels muscular, not a standard sore throat. It hurts when I swallow.

It looks like I'm starting to get a lump forming on the other side now, and this is where the pain is located.

Does anyone know what this could be?

    I have something similar but it's on my tonsil. Hoping we can find some answers
