Lump at back of throat

I am concerned about throat cancer. I have been visiting my GP since April for a hoarse voice, sore throat and throat clearing. They eventually sent an referral to ENT but I had to visit a walk in clinic as I now have a visible lump at the back of my throat. They called ENT and I was advised to contact my GP and have my referral changed to urgent. The next day I received a call from my GP to say ENT had called them and they have changed it to urgent. I explained I go away on the 30th and so my appointment has came for the 3rd September and I wont be here. Now I possibly have to wait another 4 weeks to be seen when even they think its urgent. Has anyone experienced this or had the same kind of lump? Im 30 with a 2 year old and terrified. image
