Lump in my throat

Does anyone have a lump in there throat feels like a big lump of mucus. My throat also seems to make a clicking noise when I swallow it’s not painful just a pain. I also burp a lot more. I’m not eating as much and have lost a stone in 6 weeks. Any suggestions would be appreciated x

    I have that same feeling! They say it’s gerd! I have had a endoscopy! Say nothing’s in there! Was having problems swallowing so went for swallow test yesterday! It showed food getting stuck, they think it is because my swallowing muscles are weak! Have to do swallowing excercising! It has been a long road! Have you had an endoscope? If not I would ask your dr about it! It drives me crazy all the medical expenses and really no solid answers! Good Luck!!

      HI Diane  and thank you for your reply. Yes I also have problems swallowing. I haven’t had an endoscopy but will definitely ask. I see my specialist on the 23rd. Feeling totally fed up thought the pain was bad enough without these other problems x

    Hi Shelly.  I know exactly how you are feeling.  I started having the same problem about a year ago and have also thought that it was post nasal issue.  Hiwever after weeks of not being able to dislodge it no matter how hard I tried swollowing I went to my GP who put me on PPI''s for 2 months as he diagnosed silent reflux. I agreed as food especially liquid would travel back up my osophigus. 3 months later and with the problem still persisting I went to the ENT who put the camera through my nose and down my throat and could not see anything wrong accept that my throat was swollen. She put me on Nexium 40 for 2 months and there was still no improvement l. Sent me for a barium swollow which indicated normal throat function but narrowing of the GI junction. I have not done anything since then or taken any medication and it has obviously not been improving. Today has been quite bad, feel like there is a tight rope around  my throat as well as nausea. Will have to go for an endoscopy shortly, have been stalling as I must admit I'm pretty  scared.  Wishing you all the very best and hope you resolve whatever is causing your discomfort.       Hi kristina. I also get the tightness around my neck it’s pretty scary isn’t. Hope everything goes well for you and you eventually get some answers. Good luck x
