Lump in neck; not sure what it is?

I am 19 years old and female. About a month and a half ago I noticed a lump in my neck on the right side of my trachea. I had assumed I was just coming down with a cold and pushed it away as a swollen gland. Now, as time has gone on, I have developing more and more symptoms (weird ones at that) including a larger lump and what feels like swelling all the way up and along the muscles on the right side of my neck, constant throat pain and tenderness, extreme fatigue (which I have struggled with for quite some time, just more noticeably now) and extreme loss of control over emotions. I live a very active lifestyle and do take note of changes in my body so this came as a big concern for me. I went to my primary care and she said because I had no fever, she was sure it was just a cold. I asked for blood work just to er on the side of caution and she said it didn't seem necessary for the time being. I do realize that both the fatigue and loss of control over my emotions could easily go hand-in-hand and have much to do with factors outside of an ailment. Nonetheless, I know my body and something seems off... what would you do?
