Lump in throat

Hi everyone

I have been experiencing what feels like a lump in the bottom of my throat for the last 2 weeks. It came on randomly and has been on and off every day since but not all through the day. Tends to get worse later in the day and is slightly relieved when drinking or eating but comes back very soon afterwards.

Don’t have a cough or really a sore throat, gets a bit sore now and again. It’s really getting me down and putting me off wanting to speak. 

I wake up in the morning with a weird sensation in the top of my chest near my collar bone like I’m getting the flu or something but no other flu like symptoms and then the lump feelings comes along shortly afterwards.

Doc gave me tabs for acid reflux and have been taking them for four days but have made no difference at all. 

I’m not getting heartburn but noticed I am burping a lot more than normal.

I steamed with Vicks tonight and have put a hot water bottle on my chest which has eased the sensation slightly but I’m just sick of it now. I also have what feels like a trapped nerve in the side of my neck and it’s very sore to touch.

Obviously the worst is going through my mind as I suffer with severe health anxiety and google has not been my friend. Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing or has experienced something similar and could shed some light on this please?

    Hi im in the exact situation as you, doctors gave me acid reflux tabs no difference.
