Lump in throat and feeling of fluid in throat as well?

Hi all!

Last year I was diagnosed with GERD and IBS. The IBS has basically subsided since then with medication and eating changes, but recently I've had some troubling symptoms with what I think might be GERD?

I have the near constant feeling of a lump in my throat, which I experienced last year when diagnosed. But as I've started back on Omeprazole, I'm starting to experience what feels like a massive amount of phlegm in my throat as well, and tons of saliva filling up my mouth. It's especially bad at night when I lay down, I've woken myself up thinking I can't breathe past the fluid (which, I can - but it's hard to convince myself of that at 3 a.m.).

Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do, will the medication kick this in time as it did last year? Thanks!
