Lump on 10 month olds thigh, any ideas?

Hi, my 10 month old has had a lump underneath the skin on her thigh for around 8 weeks there is a bruise on the skins surface. its a hard lump that is around an inch in size, seems to be painless.

The GP has no clue what it is and concerned she referred her for an urgent scan and during the scan the consultant also is unsure what it is and is sending a report back to my GP.

does anyone know what this could be or what i can do? the consultant did say there didn't appear to be a blood supply but looked as though it was attached/in the muscle??

any help would be appreciated, tia image
