Lump on finger - how do I get rid of it

Hello,

I have this weird lump on my finger. I want to know how to get rid of it since it kind of hinders my confidence, I know that's a bit silly but oh well. It is on my left hand and I am not left handed however I do play guitar so it may be friction from that. Saying that though I have had it way before I started playing guitar, probably about 2 years now. I do not remember any kind of accident I have had which could have caused it. Any help on what it is and how I can get rid of it would be a great help.

Kindest Regards

i had this too!! in my case it was a ganglion... i chose to have it removed at day clinic... but was told it wasnt harmful... but it was unsightly and i chose for it to be removed... however it HAS grown back slightly. .but not as bad as it was... so im leaving it for now ! File size is too big

Have you been to GP with it, I had something similar when I was younger, my doctor whacked it with a book, trust it was a real surprise 😂

Looks harmless but like you say it gets in the way

i just asked asked my gp what it was...she thought it was a ganglion but sent me to specialist at hospital who xrayed it... confirmed it was a ganglion and said its not harmful or dangerous but if id like it removed they would do so. i had it done in day surgery.yes ... my exhusband had one on his wrist and he told me that the gp got a whopping great book and bashed it... it cleared his (i didnt believe him at the time but have since heard other people had it done too)

go and see your gp and tell them you want it gone ... good luck 👍
