lump on my left glans penis
Posted , 3 users are following.
hi,
i noticed a hard lump on my glans penis on the left, the last time i masturbated was 24 hours before it showed
should i be worried? im embarrassed of telling my doctor so i did urine analyze and i had UTI . could it be just UTI that caused it?
i'm uncircumcised with tight foreskin so i can't see it. i didn't have sex for 5 months so no STDs. and threes no pain nor sensitivity
i still get the morning erections and at night just fine

It's hard to tell, but it's more likely to be the lump that caused the UTI. You need to see a doctor though. If you're in the UK, then you could see your GP or go to the nearest genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.
Being intact is cool, but phimosis is an issue. It's certainly possible to live with a non-retractible foreskin, but personally, I'd get it treated, both for hygiene reasons, and sexual enjoyment. It's usually possible to treat phimosis with stretching or steroid creams, though occasionally preputioplasty or even circumcision may be required. These links may help:

It's possible to have an STI even if you haven't had sex for years btw, though there's nothing to indicate that you might actually have an STI.

Hello :-)
When you make the urin sample at the doctor, you need to retract the foreskin enough to not let it be intouch with the urin flow and also wash around your "pee hole" first, otherwise you might test positive incorrectly even if you don't have UTI etc. This because the bacteries showing on the test is on the outside of your penis and not on the inside. It's hard to tell what that hard lump on your glans might be without having seen it. One thing that it could be is a genial wart, but it might be something else or nothing to worry about. Having a tight foreskin, is rather common and whether that represents a problem or not depends on the person. Some seem to make it a bigger issue than it is. Good luck with everything.

i did retract. my UTI deidn't clear after the antibiotoic. so we did uriane cultre and it turns out its a virus. can virus be the cause of it?
something i also i remeberd few weeks before the "lump" when i ever im in bed with erection and sleep on my left side and my penis touchs anything after while i will get disconfort then i would change my sleeping position .

A virus could cause a lump, but it's unlikely, and we're guessing, since we have no idea what the lump looks like. You said there was no pain or sensitivity before, but there's enough discomfort to make you change your sleeping position, which makes it more of an issue. What did the doctor say about it?

well acutally , i don't have insurance. so i can't do anymore test or see the doctor about this untill my next appoitmant which is 2 weeks.
but he can't see it too. im worried and not worried at the same time, not worried cause there's no pain. and worried because it has been a week and i still have it. the lump or the "swelling" isn't big it is like
medium to small. close to small tho but still seeable

He can see it, or he can't see it?
A pic would help us guess at what it might be:

If you can't retract enough to actually see it, then it could just be a lump of smegma or something, and might just wash off. Did the doc not suggest stretching or steroid creams to help retract? The links I posted in my first reply may help.

i asked about this problem and he suggested surgery which i can't afford .
again weeks ago i had like white dots above the forskin after i washed them off they went away. i serached that and somepeople called it "smegma" something
can this be it?
also i tried streching before this lump happened and i stopped because im afriad it might have caused it.

If you had white stuff that washed off, then it was probably smegma (which women also get) or dried semen. I doubt that stretching could have caused the lump. (I'm still unsure as to how large it is btw)
Surgery would normally be a last resort for phimosis in Europe. The NHS page on "Tight foreskin (phimosis and paraphimosis)" says this:
"Circumcision (surgically removing part or all of the foreskin) may be considered if other treatments have failed, but it carries risks such as bleeding and infection. Therefore, it's usually only recommended as a last resort, although it can sometimes be the best and only treatment option."

I don't really know what that means though in terms of size. Is it like a 2mm ballbearing under there maybe, or a bit smaller, or a bit bigger? What did the doc say about it?:
If by "exercises" you mean stretching, then personally, I would do them, and if they don't work, I'd try a steroid cream, though not so much for the look, as for hygiene and sexual enjoyment. The inner foreskin and sub-coronal ridge are very pleasurable for most men. Many men are happy to live with phimosis though.

yeah its probably 2mm. i'm gonna do a bit of serach since i really have tight forskin, then i will start doing it within 24 hours
the problem with phimosis is the hygine and some doctors believe men with phimosis have higher chance to get penis cancer

Men with phimosis definitely have a higher chance of penile cancer. It's quite rare, but clearly something you don't want.
The American Cancer Society says this:
"In the past, circumcision (removing the foreskin on the penis) has been suggested as a way to lower penile cancer risk. This was based on studies that reported much lower penile cancer rates among circumcised men than among uncircumcised men. But in some studies, the protective effect of circumcision was no longer seen after factors like smegma and phimosis were taken into account."
