Lump on neck with swelling that is worse when lying down

I'm a bit nervous to post this but this has been bugging me. On the 4th June I discovered a lump on the right side of my neck, I got an emergency GP appointment the next day and referred to get an ultrasound. My neck started swelling up on the Saturday and is worse when I lie down. I've had to sleep on an adjustable back rest at night to minimize the swelling. On the 27th June I went to the hospital and she took blood to test for antibodies affecting my thyroid. My next appointment is 23rd July for the ultrasound. I was just wondering if anyone has had similar issues and what was causing it and what can be done to help the swelling. Even just knowing someone else has the same problem might help a little

    Ive never heard of this or know anyone who has had anything similar -my apologies . I really hope you sort this out soon
