Lump on Penis Glans near Meatus

imageI'm 19 years old with no sexual activity other than masturbation. I've noticed since yesterday that there are lumps on my penis glans near the meatus. Its only visible when its stretched or during an erection and it doesn't feel anything when touched. It looks like your typical penile papules but the location is near the meatus so it scares me. Anybody know the problem?image

So yes you are right much of what you can see is likely to be Pearly Penile Papules (PPP) these also develop anywhere on the main area of the Glans, not just on the corona / rim of the head as they are often ONLY shown in photos online.

That is the first part: however, photo 2 in particular suggests you also have a skin condition which you need to have checked out.

What I am suggesting is that this could be something along the lines of Psoriasis or Eczema - often with autoimmune conditions such as these you will get initial signs on the arms and legs, or alternatively, the genitals CAN be the first sign that such a condition is present.

What you need to do is get this checked by a Dermatologist, if you do not have direct access to one, go see your Family Doctor / GP / PCP first and they will likely refer you to one.

You can also greatly help your penile skin by excluding as much contact as you can with ANY form of body wash such as soap, shower gel, and anything else you may use in the bath or shower that can contact your penis.

Shower with your Foreskin drawn as far forward - away from your body - as you can to protect the Glans, wash and fully rinse everywhere else, then expose the head of your penis and use the warm running shower water and the inside of your hand to clean the upper-part of your penis with. NEVER expose your penis to hot water, this is essential for your glans.

You are going to have to do a full clean up whenever you URINATE, masturbate and produce pre-ejaculate and actually ejaculate. This is because the presence of the slight amount of ANY fluid, including sweat, can irritate the skin further.

Take your time when you urinate - ensure your bladder and urinary tract are COMPLETELY emptied so that no drops form on the glans once you pop your penis away. Start by ensuring your Foreskin is completely out of the way by drawing down the shaft of your penis so that no urine can contact it.

Use a soft toilet tissue, or carry clean paper tissues to initially clean around your Meatus, then always if you can, use warm water to wash the Glans. Again, fully dry so that NO moisture remains.

Towels are something you need to think about - never use a shared towel, for where you live get your own and ensure no one else can access them.

More long-term you need to be aware that diet and nutrition can play an important part in preventing further development of autoimmune issues.

Get checked by a medical professional first, then update your Forum Post here and I can help you further .....

I'm sorry, but I'm actually circumcised and I rechecked and the problem is the angle of the photo I took which made the papules looks similar to other conditions.

What I am concerned about is the quality, or rather the general state of health of your penile skin.

If you do not address this now you will have a much more severe issue to deal with at some time in the future.

Get checked by a Dermatologist, Urologist or even just your own doctor now.

Put in place ALL that I have suggested and get the correct treatment in place from a medical professional and the issues your penile skin has now will be much easier to deal with ......
