Lump on shaft of penis

Posted , 2 users are following.

So I recently noticed a spot onthe shaft of my penis that started to swell up a bit from when I first detected it. It doesnt hurt unless I put some excess pressure on it but it won't pop. I'm wondering if this is something serious I should go to the doctor to

May be a harmless cyst, but best to get it checked by a doctor or sexual health practitioner.

Thats what it seems to look like. I'm hoping that it is just that. I'll visit my doctor and let him determine if it could be something worrying. Thanks for the reply

No problem - I'd be interested, if you want to let us know what your doctor says, by all means do another update.

Hey I'm back with an update. Some alarming things have happened since. The lump started to harden the day I went to the doctor which was last thursday. When I showered and was cleaning the area, the crusty part of the lump just fell off leaving a crater like bump. Also started to feel slight pain in the urethra area but no pain when urinating. Doctor told me its unlikely that its herpes but its a definite possibility. Took a test for everything and if anything bad shows up my doctor said she'd call me immediately. Also been getting a sticky type texture on my lips with dry mouth, no lumps or lesions. Don't know what it could be but im worried to say the least. Love to hear your opinion on this.

The effect on your mouth is probably unrelated and coincidental. If the lump had a crusty head it’s probably just a blocked pore. Would you be this worried if it was on your hand? Relax and wait for the test results!

Well I guess that's my fatal flaw. I look over symptoms over and over again. Its like mental torture to be honest. But you're right. I guess I gotta wait, whatever happens, happens.
