Lump on tonsil, should I be concerned?

I had a mild sore throat for a few days and when I looked in my throat I saw that one tonsil had a lump on it that was not there before, and a few days after that the lump had developed a red spot on it. I have also noticed a few slight green patches on my tonsils but they seem to come and go if that is even possible. Lastly, I think one tonsil may be larger than the other, but it does not look inflamed just bigger. Does this sound like something I should be concerned about?
