Lump outside rectal area. Unable to pass gas or stool

Hello All,

for past 3 weeks I am having rectal pain , burning sensation and I see one lump is there right at the opening of rectal area. I can touch that lump and it is soft and its size of a pea. I am using PREPARATION H ointment and Miralax for past few days it relieves pain but I feel huge pain during bowel movement. Now I feel something is blocking my Bowel Movement and I feel even its hard or painful to pass gas from rectal area. I just started taking sitz baths and its helping a little bit but I am worried what exactly I am going through..

I see the lump is dry and there is no bleeding.. I just see some threads or fresh red blood clots on initial stool

I had rectal exam 3 weeks back and as per doctor it was all normal.. That time the lump which I discovered was not there so bit worried ..

Thank You

sounds like you may have some internal hemorrhoids. Avoid straining, drink lots of water,up your fiber.

It might definitely be a hemorrhoid. Now dont waste your time with all the over the counter medicines as it will only give you a temporary relief, so, go to a colo-proctologist who will tell you can be done to your problem.

I agree dont waste to much time definately get it checked out as soon as possible! I suffered for 29 years with external hemmies until last summer i developed internal ones that prolasped thought i would die had hemmroidectomy and still recovery slow process! Key point is don’t wait too long go now and get it checked out that way you’re suffering can be over soon best of luck

I’ve never had a fissure so I don’t know right now I’m looking at having to get the extra tissue excised from having my hemrroidectomy because it swells and still painful! All I can say this is a long painful process hemorrhoids or fissures whatever else Having pain down below it’s horrible! Do what your surgeon says if you don’t like what he says get a second opinion that’s what I’ve done and I feel much better with my second opinion so far and I did five months ago going back to my first surgeon best of luck keep us informed prayers for a great outcome
