Lump under skin

I have identified a lump (painless) under my skin on inside of labia majora. In the past, I would get swelling, lumps before diagnosis. They disappeared with time. (Sometimes showed them to Doctor) . When diagnosed I had skin thickening that disappeared with steroid. So I am not a stranger to lumps down there. There is nothing visible on the skin with this lump. I'm a little worried and yet I expect it to disappear like mine always do. Any thoughts? Should I run to Gyno?

l had one like you are describing and the Clob seemed to take it away. Not sure If That helps you at all.

Thanks. I did rub steroid into it this morning. So glad you're finding it helped.

      This disease is so scary.

I agree to it being scary. It took about a week to go away. I had it for about a year before I got diagnosed. I had no idea what it was. Wish i didn't wait so long.

My thought exactly - go see your Gyno.  Very hard for us here to know what this is.  Better have a doctor look at it.

I went to my gyno with one up above on the mons. I was sure it was dangerous. He said it was nothing and it was. I think our skin has a vulnerability to ingrown hairs. Sometimes I would get huge painful pussy boils and sometimes just a lump like you have and it would just fade away. But by all means if in doubt see your MD.

I had a really strange one deep under my skin before I was diagnosed. He told me to come back if it doesn't disappear in s week or two. It was small and hard. I've had different types and they always go away. But I don't want to overlook something serious. I will check it out if it doesn't soon go away. I want to believe it's probably just,as you say, morrell, crappy LS skin.

Ok. I appreciate the responses. It's hard not to worry with these irregularities.

How long did you leave the compresses on?

Not long at all, just until they became cool, honestly after a few hours of just a few comptesses the lump all but disappeared

Is it a white bump? I get occasional sebaceous bimps that go away over time. No pain. Just a white bump. My doc says they happen. There are peeps who get tons of them and get them removed. Could it be an ingrown hair?

I wondered if it was slightly whitish. Because of the location I don't think it's an ingrown hair but I was told my doctor years ago already he thinks that's why I get those lumps. I seem to get different types of lumps. So far they always disappear.

This one is not painful at all.

I get lumps like you describe if I wear trousers that are a bit tight at the crotch. I try not to wear Jeans but sometimes do if I'm not going to be sitting down. If I then sit down for some readon and they put pressure on, I get a lump. It goes after a few days of soft clothes. Could this be what happened to you?

I do have my period and this month my period was very irritating to my skin. Vaguely though, I wonder if it's been coming on for some time cause I would wonder if I felt something and then decide that it was just cause of the majora sort of folding over as a rubbed creams on and so dismissed it. But now it's very distinct. Have also wondered if it could be a clogged pore from my use of Vaseline. I realize there are some on here that would avoid Vaseline. However, I got lumps etc before I ever used Vaseline.

I wear all skirts but I do have underwear that seems a little tight.

I wear all soft clothes down there so I don't think so. I researched and am thinking its prob a subacious cyst. (Clogged sweat pore). They can come from skin trauma which makes sense in our case. . But that s only my guess! Thanks for your suggestions. I agree that soft, cotton underwear is important. Seems the skin is so sensitive.

I used to get sores from sanitary towels when I had my period, and didn't know about LS. It was much better with tampons. And I wore jeans all the time then too. My LS was only diagnosed after menopause but looking back it all makes sense.

Soft cotton underwear always best. Good luck with sorting it out.
