Lumps behind ears?

Hi everyone,

I'm writing here in the hopes that some of you might know what's going on.

About half a year ago, I discovered a lump behind my left ear. It hurt a bit for a while, but then stopped. I assumed it was a lipoma, my GP thought swollen lymph nodes because of my multiple piercings in that ear. The lump did not disappear after removing the piercings or using antibiotic ointments. It has however reduced in size over time, enough that it is no longer readily palpable unless you know where to rub.

I put it out of my mind, until this morning. I discovered the same exact symptoms behind my right ear this time! It hurts quite a bit but only when touched. Both of them move freely under the skin, seem quite symmetrical and rounded. I have no idea what on earth could be causing this? And why has it jumped to my other ear? I have no piercings in my right ear so it can't be that, can it?

One thing of note, could it be a pressure bump? I sleep with my glasses on, although the lumpsare perpendicular to the edge of the frame arms.

Any ideas?
