Lupus and Osteoarthritis

I was diagnosed with Lupus 4 years ago and was sent to a rheumatologist! He had told me that he wasn't to concerned about my Lupus but would watch it to see if it progressed and I definitely had Osteoarthritis but not Rheumatoid! How could one doctor say one thing and another doctor says different! Now I know Lupus is hard to diagnose because it mimics other illnesses! I have seen several doctors due to me being sick and they won't diagnose me with Lupus because my levels are low! Recently I had to have surgery on my thumbs because they had severe arthritis in them and he asked how long I had Rheumatoid arthritis. I told him I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis but he said I had all the signs of Rheumatoid so I guess my question is could I have been given the wrong diagnose! I don't feel I have gotten the right treatment from doctors and just getting a run around! I've continued to see my internal specialist but feel I'm getting worse! Had anyone else felt this way? Help..

Autoimmune disease is caused by exposure to chemicals, radiation and microbes. Any additional exposures to these factors can worsen autoimmune conditions. The best approach to autoimmune disease is diet, exercise, cleansing and supplements.
A completely gluten free natural Paleo style diet removes immune system triggers (wheat, gluten, dairy, sugar, processed food). Ckesnsing also helps remove immune system triggers.
There are many herbs that support the immune system and decrease inflammation. Manual lymph drainage is a type of light massage that can also be extremely helpful, as can acupuncture.
It’s unfortunate that these sorts of treatments are generally not covered by insurance. However, you have a wealth of information at your fingertips. See what’s out there! Ask questions of others who have personal experience. They’re delighted for you to benefit from their struggles.
